| Charm Necklace & Earrings Set Tuesday, October 19 Instructor: Carla 6:30-8:30 pm limit 8 Age:Ages 12 to adults beginner level $35 includes all materials and instruction Create a very popular interchangeable charm style necklace. Use silver tone word charms, learn to make a bead charm using headpins and attach a clasp to a chain. Then apply these skills to a create a pair of matching earrings! | Kid's Bead Blast! Halloween Fun! Saturday, October 30 from 10:30am to 12:00pm Ages 6-10 beginner level Instructors: Bella Staff $25 Wear your costume to bella beads and trick or treat! (No masks please...we need to see the beads!) We'll make a "boo"tiful Halloween bracelet, and a necklace to match! Each participant will leave with a treat bag and a glow safety bracelet to wear at night time. What fun! Due to space limitations, parents are required to pre-register and drop off their child. We'll be taking all of our summer bead blast project "extras" and putting them out for you to choose! Each child will leave with three projects. Projects may include: button bracelets, slide alphabet bracelets, scratch art frames, jewelry boxes, trinket boxes, beaded book marks & diaries, hula charm bracelets, embellished flip flops, sand art necklaces & bracelets, floating necklaces, gibbets cell phone charms/ipod cases...and soooo many more! :) Whooda thought leftovers could be so fun?! Make a Mother's Bracelet May 6, 2010 Limit 6 Instructor: Carla 6:00-9:00 pm Learn to design, string and finish a sterling silver and Swarovski crystal mother's bracelet with children's names in sterling letter blocks. Great class also for the pet lover! We'll cover the basics of stringing with bead wire and using crimps and clasps to finish it off. Includes all materials and instruction. Light refreshments served. Create 4 items with your name or initials on it! We'll make a bracelet, necklace, anklet and a back pack or sports bag tag! |
| Class Registration and Fees: Payment is due in full at registration to reserve your spot in class. Register in person or by phone with a MC or Visa at 978-474-4424. Unless otherwise noted, bella beads will provide use of all tools and materials required for the class. For their safety, please do not bring children or guests to class unless they are registered participants. Private/Custom Classes: Do you and/or a few friends want to learn a specific skill to make a certain piece? bella beads will schedule a private class for 1-4 students ages 7 to adult. Teaching 1:1 or in a small semi-private class allows us to work with students to customize to their needs. In most cases, we can cover multiple techniques that normally would be learned in 2-3 consecutive classes. Call 978-474-4424 to schedule a private or small group class. SESSION 1 Grades 3-5 drop off Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 4 classes beginning January 27 limit 12 $120 per 4 class session Class 1: Memory Wire Madness: Learn the basics of memory wire to create a bracelet, necklace, and ring. Learn to use headpins to create charms for the bracelet, a pendant for he necklace, and a charm for the ring. Students will being home a very cool memory wire bracelet, necklace and ring set designed exclusively by them. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 Class 2: Beautiful Bracelets: Learn how to use a bracelet design board to plan and measure a patterned bracelet. Learn to string on bead wire using crimps and how to attach an adjustable bracelet clasp. Students will learn how to properly open and close a jump ring and attach pre-made charms. Students will bring home an adjustable length charm bracelet. Wednesday, February 3, 2010 Class 3: Necklace Necessities: Learn how to use a necklace design board to plan and measure a patterned necklace. Students will also learn how to design and create a pendant from any type of bead using a headpin and a bail, as well as learn to finish the necklace by attaching a toggle clasp. Students will bring home a pendant necklace. Wednesday February 10, 2010 Class will not meet over February school vacation week. Class 4: Earring Extravaganza 1: Learn how to make a straight dangle earring using headpins, bead and ear wires. We'll continue to practice simple loops and students will be shown how to take that skill one step further in creating wrapped loops. *Students without pierced ears will have the clip on option. | Read & Bead Buddies Ages 3-5 with an adult buddy Tuesdays 10:00-10:45 4 classes beginning January 26 limit 6 little buddies $50 Do you love stories and crafts? Then grab your big buddy: mom, dad, grandpa, auntie or your sitter. Come and listen to a story then make a fun beading or craft project based on the book's theme. For safety reasons, adults are required to work with their little buddy during project time. Beading is a great fine motor skill builder! |

SESSION 2 Grades 3-5 drop off Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 4 classes beginning March 10, 2010 limit 12 $120 per 4 class session Class 1: Earring Extravaganza 2!: Learn how to make hoop earrings with two different styles of hoop findings. *Students with non-pierced ears will have the clip on option. Students will bring home five pair of hoop style earrings ranging in size from 3/4" to 1.5" in diameter. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 Class 2: "Bella" Bookmarks: Learn to create a shepherd's hook book mark using wire and crimps. Then learn to measure and knot on waxed linen to create a string style book mark. Finally, learn how to use round nose pliers and a simple spiral wire bending technique to create a free form wired bookmark embellished with beads. Students will bring home 3 different type of bookmarks. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 Class 3: Think Inside... then Outside the Jewelry Box!: Take the skills you've learned previously and extend it a step further to other projects. Students will learn how to create a back pack dangle, a beaded pin, and a floating style necklace. Learn ho to attach barrel clasps. Students will go home with one of each project mentioned above plus a free bonus jewelry box kit to complete on a rainy day at home! Wednesday March 24, 2010 Class 4: Open Studio...Wahoo!: Now that you are an expert beader, use our workshop area to design and create a project (or two, or three) of your choice! Our instructors will be on your beck and call to reinforce skills learned previously and to offer guidance witht he projects. Students will go home with one the three projects of their choice depending on their personal skill level and pace. | Class Planner and Instructor is Carla Byrne along with the assistance of her incredibly talented staff at Bella Beads. Carla is a former certified elementary school teacher and holds a degree in education and art. She knows a lot of ridiculous bead jokes and encourages her students to think creatively and without limits with their bead projects and designs. Carla is passionate about teaching and children, respecting the process of art and the freedom of creativity to express oneself through it... ...and definitely in no particular order. |
